Volunteer efforts renewed in search for clues to missing Winnipeg woman

WINNIPEG — Relatives and friends of a Winnipeg woman who hasn’t been seen since last summer have renewed a poster campaign with the hope that it will generate fresh clues to her disappearance.

Volunteers were out on the weekend putting up hundreds of posters that depict what Thelma Krull was wearing the day she disappeared.

Family and police have said the 57-year-old woman set out for a walk one morning last July and never returned to her northeast-area home.

Bob Krull, Thelma’s husband, says someone must know something about his wife’s disappearance.

Krull says police are still getting tips but nothing that’s concrete.

The only thing police found during their search last year was a pair of glasses that belong to the missing woman.

“We’re suffering here and we just want answers. The family needs to grieve if that’s what happened, if she’s deceased. We haven’t given up,” said Krull’s husband.

Cathy Lucas has been helping with the search since last year. She said she doesn’t know Krull or the family, but the disappearance hits close to home.

“I live in this community. We just want to take it back and be part of this. Hopefully with these new posters we can help find her and find a clue. It just hit close to my heart,” said Lucas.
