The Winnipeg Jets scored twice in the third period to stun the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 at the MTS Centre Thursday night.
With the scored tied 1-1 with second period goals from Anze Kopitar and Adam Lowry, Winnipeg exploded out of the gate in the third with Dustin Byfuglien and Paul Postma each finding the back of the net within the first five minutes.
Drew Stafford added an empty-net goal with under two minutes.

The win improves the Jets to 31-37-6 on the season, while the Kings extend their losing-streak to three games with a mark of 44-25-5.
Kopitar opened the scoring with a power-play goal at the 9:25 mark of the second period, beating Ondrej Pavelec with a wrist shot for his 25th of the season.
The goal looked to be the beginning of the end for the homeside, with the Kings continuing to apply heavy pressure.
But the Jets were able to weather the storm, eventually tying the game with a goal from Adam Lowry, who scored his seventh of the season and second in as many games.
It wouldn’t take long into the third period with Byfuglien scoring his 17th of the season just 15 seconds after the opening faceoff. Postma added the insurance – his second of the season – at the 2:54 mark to put the Jets up 3-1.
Ondrej Pavelec, who recorded his first shutout of the season Tuesday in a 2-0 win over Vancouver, made 32 saves in the victory to improve to 10-13-2. Jonathan Quick had a 20-save performance to fall to 37-20-4.
