Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have traded cornerback Johnny Adams to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for an unnamed player on the Ticats’ negotiation list.
The move Wednesday afternoon came as a bit of a surprise as it was announced just hours after Adams and the Bombers finished practice at Investors Group Field, two days ahead of their game against the Edmonton Eskimos Friday night.
Adams, 27, had a breakout season with the Bombers in 2015 – his first in the CFL – starting all 18 games at boundary corner. He was named a West Division all-star and was tied for first in the CFL with five interceptions.

This season, Adams has struggled to stay healthy. He missed the first nine weeks with a lower-body injury suffered early in training camp. In five games with the Bombers in this year, Adams had 21 defensive tackles and one interception.
He made his return to the lineup in Week 10 against Montreal but has struggled to regain his form from a year ago. He was replaced on the first-team defence this week after another poor showing in Saturday’s 36-34 loss to Calgary.
“With the depth we have accumulated in the defensive backfield, accompanied with Johnny’s pending free-agent status, we were comfortable making this move for the betterment of the Winnipeg Football Club,” general manager Kyle Walters said in a news release.
Adams, who played four years at Michigan State, is expected to pursue NFL opportunities at the end of this season, which only made him more expendable.
