All-world G Carey Price is off to a dreadful start. In 11 appearances, he has a 3-7-1 record with a 3.77 goals-against average and .877 save percentage. His career numbers include a 2.43 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. Backup G Al Montoya, a former member of the Jets, is 1-1-0 with a 3.77 goals-against average and a .873 save percentage.

RW Brendan Gallagher leads Montreal with 10 points, including six goals. D Shea Weber, C Phillip Danault and C Jonathan Drouin are tied for second with nine points apiece.

D Shea Weber blocked six shots against the Wild on Thursday, exactly half of Montreal’s total. Weber is leading the club with an average of 26:07 of ice time per game.

RW Nikita Scherbak underwent surgery to his right knee last week and his recovery period is expected to take six weeks.
