DUCKS

This is the third and final game between the Jets and Ducks this season. The clubs split two games at Honda Center, a 4-1 Winnipeg victory on Nov. 24 and a 4-3 Anaheim shootout win Jan. 25.

Anaheim is coming off a 4-0 shutout of the host Calgary Flames on Wednesday to improve to 38-24-12, good for 88 points and temporary possession of third place in the Pacific Division. But things are always changing in the Western Conference playoff race, and the Los Angeles Kings’ late game Thursday with the Colorado Avalanche could bump the Ducks back into a wild-card spot.

G John Gibson stopped 29 shots to blank the Flames for Anaheim’s fourth straight win. The veteran puckstopper now has four shutouts this season, and is 12-3-1 in his last 16 starts. C Ryan Getzlaf registered his 44th and 45th assists of the season, and has one goal and five helpers in his last five contests.

C Rickard Rackell leads the club in goals (31) and points (63), while Getzlaf is second in points (56). RW Ondrej Kase, in his second NHL campaign, has 18 goals, while C Adam Henrique, RW Corey Perry and RW Jakob Silfverberg have 16 goals apiece.

D Josh Manson had played all 73 games for Anaheim but was forced to miss the game in Calgary with an upper-body injury. He was injured Sunday in a 4-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. He’s having a career year, with five goals and 31 points to lead all Ducks blue-liners.
