October has always promised to be a beautiful autumn month. This year proved to be interesting.

The early winter storm that struck southern Manitoba ten days into the month guaranteed bent and broken trees and tree branches that littered city streets, downed power lines and added more harvest headaches for farmers.

But life, more or less, has gotten back on track. A federal election took place. And pro and amateur sports were ramping up for championship runs.
