The Canadian Premier League announced the home openers for all eight teams on Thursday.
Winnipeg’s soccer club, Valour FC, will open the season at IG Field on May 2 when they host the newest member of the CPL, Atlético Ottawa.
The season will officially open on April 11 when Forge FC welcomes Cavalry FC to Hamilton for a rematch of last year’s final.
This year, 90 per cent of the league’s matches will be played on weekends or holidays. The rest of the 28-game schedule will be revealed today.
