Manitoba health officials advised one new case of COVID-19 had been identified as of 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive cases in Manitoba is 295.

The province said no new individuals were in hospital. There were 10 active cases and 278 people have recovered from the virus.

An additional 874 laboratory tests had been conducted as of Saturday, raising the total number of tests performed since early February to 43,886. Manitoba enters Phase 2 of its reopening plan on Monday.

Restaurants, bars, beverage rooms and micro-brewers will be allowed to offer indoor service at 50 per cent capacity.

Gyms, swimming pools, fitness clubs, and spas will also be able to reopen. Religious and other organizations will be allowed to hold outdoor services without a limit on numbers as long as people stay in their vehicles.

Personal services such as manicurists will also be allowed to open.

Occupancy limits on outdoor recreation facilities and golf courses will be lifted and limited access will be allowed to indoor spaces as long as physical distancing can be maintained.

Effective Monday:

Child-care centre occupancy will rise to up to 24 children, plus staff.

Sports, arts and cultural activities will resume for adults and children.

Day camp group sizes will increase to 24.

Direct travel to northern parks, campgrounds, cabins, lodges and resorts will be allowed, while ensuring physical distancing.

Public and private swimming pools, spas, fitness clubs, gyms and community/service centres will be allowed to reopen with some limitations.

Religious and other organizations will be able to hold outdoor services or events without limitation on numbers if people remain in their vehicles.

Manicurists and pedicurists, tattoo parlours, estheticians, cosmetologists, electrologists and tanning parlours will be able to open at 50 per cent capacity.
