BRAMPTON – Peel Regional Police say they have arrested and charged a 49-year-old man following an alleged online child luring investigation.

Officers say they arrested a Brampton, Ont., resident on Oct. 2, who has been charged with four counts of luring a child under the age of 16.

Officers say the Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation in April, looking for a suspect who was using social media platforms to lure underage kids.

Police say the suspect was operating multiple social media profiles with different personas.

They say the suspect has been held for a bail hearing at the Ontario court of justice in Brampton, Ont.

The investigation is ongoing as police believe there may be additional victims.
