MONTREAL – A 20-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after an 18-year-old woman was found dead in a Montreal apartment Tuesday.
Montreal police say they received 911 calls around 12:20 p.m. about a woman found unconscious in an apartment on Everett Street in the Villeray—Saint-Michel—Parc-Extension borough.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers arrested the man on-site and he has appeared at the Montreal courthouse.
Police did not confirm how the woman died and said an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
Her death is the sixth homicide recorded in Montreal this year.
