Opinion

Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 09/05/2010 (5826 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.

It’s ‘only’ mini-camp, yes. And the big stars have yet to report for main training camp scheduled to begin in July. But Winnipeg Blue Bomber receiver Titus Ryan has done everything possible to open eyes and drop jaws with the Dallas Cowboys.

The speedy 26-year-old caught just 15 passes for 396 and four touchdowns splitting time with Calgary and the Bombers last year, but showcased world-class wheels that often leaves coaches drooling. He did the same thing at Cowboys’ mini-camp over the last couple of weeks and almost certainly will get a long look at their main camp.

This means two things for the Bombers:
1. A dynamic receiver/return threat likely won’t be available, if at all, until late August;

2. It means they’ll be able to take longer looks at some of their other new import receiving candidates in training camp like Travis Shelton, Terrence Jeffers-Harris, Kenny Strickland, D.J. Hall and Will Franklin.
