Quarterback Buck Pierce has only thrown for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in a few games, but already his No.4 jersey is flying off the shelves.
At last week’s home opener, Pierce proved his worth and his ability as QB as the team crushed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 49-29.
At the Bomber Store, it’s not just XL men’s in short supply. Blue-eyed Pierce, standing 6’1" and hailing from California, has captured the attention of female Bomber fans as well. Women are snapping up Pierce jerseys, and even taking over the youth sizes.
As Friday night’s face off against the Toronto Argonauts approaches, the store is sold out of Pierce merchandise.
Thursday afternoon, we explored the phenomena, and asked the man himself what he thinks of his popularity.
