WSO Associate Conductor, Julian Pellicano, will be the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra’s staff conductor beginning in the 2024-25 season.

The orchestra says there are plans to have Pellicano conduct the orchestra several times during the 2024-25 season, particularly for its BMO Live at the Movies series.

Pellicano moved to Winnipeg from New York to join the WSO in 2013 as its resident conductor, and became the symphony’s associate conductor in 2019, the same year he joined the RWB.

Pellicano leads the WSO’s Live at the WSO pops concert series and specializes in conducting orchestras for live movie screenings, including upcoming performances of Star Wars: A New Hope (May 3-4).
