Legendary actor William Shatner is beaming into Winnipeg this week for two different events.
Today, the 80-year-old Montreal native — known to Star Trek fans across the universe as Capt. James T. Kirk — will bring his one-man show, How Time Flies: An Evening with William Shatner, to the Centennial Concert Hall.
Then he returns to the city on Sunday for an appearance at the C4 Central Canada Comic Con at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

Shatner, who has just released a book (Shatner Rules), a double music album (Seeking Major Tom) and DVD documentary (The Captains) met with the media at the Fort Garry Hotel on Monday to talk about his upcoming shows and why he believes Star Trek still makes people dress up as their favourite characters and misquote lines.
