The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada hosted its Out of the Blue gala dinner, dance and silent auction event at the museum on Oct. 29. All funds from the event go toward operation of the museum, which is working to raise funds for construction of a new $40-million building that will be located next to Winnipeg’s Richardson International Airport terminal, on the land of the former airport terminal. In operation since 1974, the museum is located at the north end of Ferry Road in the former Trans-Canada Air Lines terminal. The museum hopes to move into the new facility in 2018 or 2019.
