Auto Gallery named top used car dealer

The accolades keep on coming for Auto Gallery of Canada, one of Manitoba’s top-selling used car dealers. The dealer at the west end of Portage Avenue has been bestowed the Top Choice Award for the 10th year in a row and Consumer’s Choice Award for the 10th time in 12 years.

 

Even more impressively, Auto Gallery was selected for the first time as DealerRater’s Used Car Dealer of the Year for Canada. (Last year, it was that Manitoba Dealer of the Year.)

Mark Warsaba, the president of Audi Winnipeg (and St. James Volkswagen) sees Audi Winnipeg’s second top ranking nationally (per DealerRater) — and St. James Volkswagen being cited by the ratings website as Manitoba’s top-ranked Volkswagen dealer for three years in a row — “as a testament to our team’s focus on providing world class service and exceeding customer expectations. We are honoured and very excited about this prestigious award.”

He notes that there are 45 Audi dealers in Canada.

(The dealership is also a threepeat winner in the Consumer’s Choice Awards for both its Audi and Volkswagen divisions.)

Warsaba adds that “we are building for the future” referring to the new Audi Winnipeg facility that is going up at the Seasons of Tuxedo development on Kenaston across from Ikea. He reports that the new Audi store is on schedule for an October opening.

“The foundation is 75 per cent complete and work is proceeding on the exterior structure,” he says. “Our showroom and service area at our new store will be double the size of our current location. We are going to be able to improve on our already excellent level of service and customer satisfaction.”

2017 Mitsubishi Outlander

 

Mitsubishi’s much anticipated 2017 Outlander arrived at Winnipeg dealers in late December and has been very well received, according to Waverley Mitsubishi sales rep Marko Gospic.

“The Outlander is our best-selling model,” Gospic says. “The 2017 edition comes with several features that our customers have been asking about for quite some time.”

Among the new features that are available (with the higher end SEL and GT S-AWC trims), Gospic notes, are blind-spot warning and lane-change assist as well as rear-cross traffic assist and forward collision mitigation. Antilock brakes, hill start assist, electronic stability control and traction control are standard on the 2017 Outlander. There are also some new interior updates, a new available all-wheel-drive system on the base model and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The 2017 SUV offers a choice of either a 2.4-litre, inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 166 horsepower and 224 pound-feet of torque — or a 3L V-6 engine that puts out 224 hp and 215 lb-ft of torque. The top of the line GT S-AWC only comes with AWD. The other trims offer a choice between AWD and FWD.

Gospic reports that the base price for the model is $30,000 (plus freight and pdi).

“Our SUVs are our most popular models,” Gospic says. “We sell more SUVs than anything else.”
