Hey there, time traveller!

Manitoba’s Sean Grassie is in the playoff hunt at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Team Manitoba suffered its first defeat of the competition Tuesday morning, falling 10-7 to Northern Ontario’s Ian Fisher. But the Manitoba foursome bounced right back, thumping Alberta’s Tom Appelman 8-3 Tuesday night to improve Manitoba’s overall record to 5-1.
That puts Manitoba alone in third place, a win behind 6-1 Northern Ontario and two wins behind Saskatchewan’s Darrell McKee, the last undefeated team remaining in the field at 7-0. The top three teams make the weekend playoff round.
Manitoba plays Newfoundland this morning and B.C. tonight.
Finally, in case you missed the results because of Remembrance Day, here’s a recap of all the World Curling Tour action that ended Monday evening:
In Saskatoon, defending world champion Jennifer Jones was eliminated by her old nemesis and one-time provincial rival Kelly Scott of B.C. by a 6-2 score in the quarterfinals of a $35,000 WCT women’s event. Saskatoon’s Stefanie Lawton went on to win the event.
In Lloydminster, Kevin Martin defeated Randy Ferbey — who had Winnipeg’s Reid Carruthers curling with him as a replacement for David Nedohin — 7-3 in the quarterfinals. Martin went on to win the $81,000 event.
And in Swan River, Allan Lyburn’s team earned $9,000 after defeating Kelly Skinner of Hamiota 8-4 in the final at the $40,000 White’s Drug Store Classic.
