Scott Loewen of Pine Ridge struggled to a five-over 76 at the 2009 Manitoba Amateur Golf Championship at Elmhurst Golf Club today, bringing his closest rivals into the game for the final day of the tournament Thursday.
Scott Markham of Niakwa fared only a little better with a 74 today but now only trails Loewen by one shot. Loewen is at two-under-par 213 through three days of the championship.
Tyler Mancini of Pine Ridge matched the day’s best score with a 72, and came from six back to now trailing by just two strokes.
Former two-time champion Garth Collings of Breezy Bend shot 73 today and may also have a chance, sitting only three shots off the lead.
