Top-seeded Alex Forrest and his team from Deer Lodge Curling Club won the 2010 provincial junior men’s curling championship on Tuesday night on their home ice at Deer Lodge Curling Club.

Forrest and his team defeated Michael Johnson of Assiniboine-Memorial 7-2 in six ends to win the championship final.

Forrest, along with third Joey Witherspoon, second Connor Njegovan, lead Mike Neufeld and coach Tom Clasper will now advance to the 2010 national championship on Jan. 16-24 in Sorel-Tracy, Que.
