WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers dropped a bit of a bombshell this afternoon.

The club cut import wide receiver Adarius Bowman after practice today, ending the two-year relationship with the talented but often frustrating pass catcher.

Bowman had 50 catches for 691 yards and three touchdowns this season, but has sat out the last three games due to his inconsistent play – specifically with catching the football.

In two seasons with the Blue and Gold, Bowman, 25, had caught 105 balls for 1,616 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Bombers had tried to trade the 6-foot-3, 223-pound Oklahoma State product after banishing him to the bench this year, but could not find any takers.
