WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added another arm to their depleted quarterback bullpen.

The club announced Monday the signing of import QB Frank Wilczynski to the practice roster. Wilczynski (6-1, 190) transferred to Rowan University from the University of Delaware where he played receiver. In his senior year, the 24-year-old completed 117 of 207 passes for 1,456 yards and 11 TDs while leading the team in rushing with 793 yards and 15 touchdowns.

He holds the school record for career rushing yards by a QB with 1,596 yards on 207 rushes and most rushing touchdowns in a season with 15. He was a New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference first team selection.

Wilczynski will dress for this Saturday’s game in Edmonton as one of the back-ups to Joey Elliott, elevated to the starting position after injuries to Steven Jyles and Alex Brink.
