Hey there, time traveller!

In Brandon-Souris, there was little doubt Conservative Merv Tweed would hang onto the largely rural riding tucked into the southwest corner of the province.
His federal campaign record is 4-0.
“I have been so humbled to work for the people of Brandon-Souris,” Tweed said by email.

The former Filmon cabinet minister and car dealer, was first elected MP in 2004.
“I have worked very hard for this constituency as I believe it is one of the greatest in the country,” said Tweed. “I look forward to four years of a stable Conservative government.”
There was a time, not all that long ago, that Brandon-Souris was in Liberal control.
Last night, before the final results were in, the Liberals were trailing at the back of the pack with the NDP candidate John Bouche, Tweed’s closest rival, with less than one-third of the votes cast.
The riding covers close to 20,000 square kilometres, including Brandon, Cornwallis, Virden, Killarney, Souris and North Cypress.
