The Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team has released right-handed starting pitcher Dustin Glant.
Manager Rick Forney made the move while on the road at Lincoln, Neb. where the Goldeyes will close out their seven-game American Association road trip Thursday night with a fourth straight game against the Saltdogs.
Glant, 29, was the starter on Wednesday when the Goldeyes lost 9-3, due in part to a pair of three-run home runs. Glant allowed nine runs, including eight that were earned, during four innings and took the loss.
He left the Goldeyes with a 1-3 wins-losses record and a 6.21 ERA in six Goldeyes starts this season.
The Goldeyes have 21 players on the active roster, including 11 pitchers and 10 position players.
Winnipeg will open a six-game home stand Friday at 7 p.m. against the Kansas City T-Bones.
