THE Winnipeg Goldeyes have released right-handed starting pitcher Dustin Glant.
Manager Rick Forney made the move while on the road in Lincoln, Neb. , where the Goldeyes closed out their seven-game American Association road trip Thursday night with a fourth straight game against the Saltdogs (12-14).
Glant, 29, was the starter on Wednesday when the Goldeyes lost 9-3. Glant allowed nine runs, including two three-run homers, in four innings of work.
He leaves the Goldeyes with a 1-3 record and a 6.21 ERA in six starts this season.
The Goldeyes have 21 players on the active roster — 11 pitchers and 10 position players.
Winnipeg will open a six-game homestand tonight at 7 p.m. against the Kansas City T-Bones.
