The Academy is cheering for the Jets.
The Osborne Village bar/restaurant Academy Food Drinks Music has officially changed its name to The Cheer Bar and Grill and will be showing all Winnipeg Jets games on several high-definition television sets.
The volume for the games will be on, so live music won’t start until games are done, according to a press release.
The newly renamed bar will feature the same format every game day: pre-game happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by the game and live post-game entertainment, including bands and DJs.
