The new terminal at James Richardson International Airport is officially open, and passengers are already flying through its doors. The first plane touched down just after 8 a.m. with passengers greeted by the brand new, state of the art, eco-friendly building.

The official ribbon cutting took place at 11 a.m. with Mayor Sam Katz and MP Steven Fletcher in attendance.

Saturday was the old terminal building’s last official day of use.
