Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Jets were shut out 3-0 by the New York Rangers Sunday.

The Rangers opened the scoring on a second period power play, when Derek Stepan put a high shot into a mostly-empty net.

Marian Gaborik made no mistake finishing a two-on-one pass from Stepan in the third period to make it 2-0.

That came after the Jets killed three consecutive third-period penalties, including a two-minute two-man advantage.

The Jets had the only two power-play chances of  the first period but couldn’t capitalize.

Ondej Pavelec is in goal for the Jets, while Martin Biron starts for the Rangers for the second time this season against the Jets. He was outstanding in a 2-1 New York win on Oct. 24 at MTS Centre.

Defenceman Mark Stuart returned from injury to the Jets’ lineup, while forward Nik Antropov is missing his second straight game.

The Jets are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night. They finish off their season-long seven-game road trip on Tuesday night in Buffalo before returning home to face the Florida Panthers on Thursday.
