Winnipeg Jet fans eager to see their hockey heroes flash some of their world-class skills will get an up-close-and-personal look Tuesday night at MTS Centre.
The club will be holding their 1st Annual Winnipeg Jets Skills Competition, preceded by an open practice prior to the event. The practice begins at 5:30 p.m. at MTS Centre and fans will be able to listen to head coach Claude Noel as he leads the troops while being mic’d up for the session.
The skills competition begins at 7 p.m. and features five events:

- Fastest skater
- Hardest shot
- Accuracy shooting competition
- Puck control relay
- Breakaway competition
Proceeds from the skills competition will benefit the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation and the NHLPA Goals and Dreams Fund.
The open practice will be included in the price of the Skills Competition. Tickets are still available for $17.50 and $12.50, plus service charges and all seats are reserved.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca or charge-by-phone at 1-855-985-5000.
