Hey there, time traveller!

Outfielder Ridge Carpenter has been signed by the Winnipeg Goldeyes for the 2012 American Association baseball season.
Carpenter, who played in 51 games with the Goldeyes last season in his first year as a professional player, will return to the Goldeyes with rookie status. In independent baseball, a player’s first season doesn’t count toward his status.
a 22-year-old product of Honolulu, Hawaii, Carpenter batted .320 with the Goldeyes and had a .404 on-base percentage.
Goldeyes manager Rick Forney said Carpenter can play all three outfield positions.
“For him to produce like he did for us last year, he really is worthy of an opportunity of coming back and playing again,” Forney said in a statement. “He’s a dynamic player.”
The Goldeyes now have five players signed for the 2012 season, including pitcher Matthew Rusch and position players Amos Ramon, Asif Shah and Price Kendall.
