Hey there, time traveller!

Never mind the standings and look after what is in front of you – that’s the focus of the 4-10 Winnipeg Blue Bombers heading into Saturday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders (8-6) at noon at Canad Inns Stadium.
Bombers quarterback Joey Elliott said his team needs to look no further than last week’s 27-22 win in Montreal over the East Division leader Alouettes (8-6) to see the task before them this week is manageable.
While Winnipeg has the worst record in the league, the Stampeders can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Winnipeg coupled with a loss by either the Edmonton Eskimos (6-8) or the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (5-9).
“Last week was a big win for us on the road, a lot of people said we didn’t have a chance. I think every person in our locker room, when we stepped on the field, believed in what we were doing,” Elliott said today, after his team’s walk-through at Canad Inns Stadium.
“We have a game this week and we’re going into it as a competitor. You never going into a fight saying you’re going to lose. So hopefully this week we have a chance to be on the winning side.”
The Bombers will have four lineup changes, adding receiver Kurt Adams and defensive linemen JT Gilmore and Jake Thomas. Out with injuries are defensive linemen Alex Hall (knee), Bryant Turner (ankle) and receiver Cory Watson (foot). Kito Poblah, who didn’t practise this week with an undisclosed upper body injury, is on the roster but is not starting.
The Stampeders have added defensive lineman Anwar Stewart, signed earlier this week to the practice roster. While Stewart won’t start, he is expected to see the field and bring more power to the pass rush.
Bombers fans will have a chance to see former Bombers offensive lineman Obby Khan in his first visit to Canad Inns Stadium as a Stampeder.
“Take what the defence gives you and defensively try to create turnovers and make them one-dimensional,” Elliott said. “They have a great running game and (quarterback) Kevin Glenn, if he gets outside the pocket, he can make some plays.”
