Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive end Jamaal Westerman was named one of three CFL players of the month on Wednesday.
Westerman had four sacks and 14 tackles in four games in September and is the CFL sack leader with 11.
A former NFLer, Westerman — a non-import — signed with the Bombers as a free agent last spring.
The other players of the month were Ottawa QB Henry Burris and B.C. returner Chris Rainey.
