Hey there, time traveller!

Rana Bokhari says she’s thrilled with Justin Trudeau’s victory but she knows Manitoba Liberals can’t expect simply to ride on the young prime minister-designate’s coattails heading into a spring provincial election.
While there is “an appetite for change across the country,” she said, it will take hard work for the provincial Liberals to make big gains electorally.
“We are committed to doing that hard work,” Bokhari said Tuesday. “But I’m not the kind of person who is going to stand here and pretend that the momentum is going to take us to the top.”

Bokhari leads a party with only one seat in the Manitoba legislature, that held by Dr. Jon Gerrard in River Heights.
She said her approach over the next several months will be to continue to make policy announcements and provide Manitobans with a “positive vision” for the future as Trudeau did during the federal election.
“That’s what we are committed to doing. That’s the campaign we will run as well,” Bokhari said.
“It’s a great time to be a Liberal. We couldn’t be happier.”
