The Winnipeg Jets defeated the Nashville Predators 4-1 at Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee Tuesday night.
Jets forward Drew Stafford opened the scoring with his 13th goal of the season, a power-play marker assisted by defenceman Tyler Myers, at the 10:34 mark of the first period.
Stafford potted his second PP-goal of the game at 8:42 of the second period to increase the Jets’ lead, with assists to Tobias Enstrom and Mark Scheifele.

The Jets took a 3-0 lead at 5:05 of the third period on an unassisted goal by defenceman Ben Chiarot. Colin Wilson got the Predators on the board at 13:23 when he converted a nice feed in the slot from Roman Josi, but Jets forward Alexander Burmistrov sealed the deal with an empty-netter at 19:30, with assists from Myers and Andrew Ladd.
Rookie Connor Hellebuyck stopped 43 shots in the Jets net, while Winnipeg fired just 17 shots at veteran Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne.
