The Winnipeg Football Club has a new chairman of the board and two new directors.

The Blue Bombers announced Thursday that Jeff Martin – the club’s former vice-chairman and treasurer – has taken over from Brock Bulbuck as the team’s new chairman of the board.

Martin has also been on the CFL Board of Governors. He is a chartered professional accountant and partner in the firm, Deloitte LLP.

Bulbuck had been the WFC chairman since April, 2013. He will continue to serve as past chairman.

The club also announced that Craig Evans – CEO of Granny’s Poultry Cooperative – and Barb Gamey – CEO and co-founder of Payworks – have joined the board as directors.

Evans and Gamey replace longtime board members David Asper and Bill Watchorn, who have both now retired from the board.

The changes are part of a defined schedule put in place by the WFC a few years to ensure a steady stream of new blood on to the board that oversees the operation of the Bombers.

Evans and Gamey were chosen through an open public nomination process the club put in place back in 2013. A total of eight directors have now been elected to the board in that way.
