THE Winnipeg Football Club has a new chairman of the board and two new directors.
The Blue Bombers announced Thursday that Jeff Martin — the club’s former vice-chair and treasurer — has taken over from Brock Bulbuck as the team’s new chairman of the board.
Martin has also been on the CFL Board of Governors. He is a chartered professional accountant and partner in the firm Deloitte LLP.
Bulbuck had been the WFC chairman since April 2013. He will continue to serve as past chair.
The club also announced that Craig Evans, CEO of Granny’s Poultry Cooperative, and Barb Gamey, CEO and co-founder of Payworks, have joined the board as directors.
Evans and Gamey replace longtime board members David Asper and Bill Watchorn, who have retired from the board.
The changes are part of a defined schedule put in place by the WFC a few years ago to ensure a steady stream of new blood on the board that oversees the operation of the Bombers.
