Police blocked off McPhillips Street between Kingsbury and Leila avenues after a report of a suspicious package Monday evening.

A Winnipeg police officer on scene told a Free Press photographer that they were called to a robbery at the Boston Pizza at McPhillips and Kingsbury.

Upon arrival, a suspicious package was found inside the restaurant, police said.

The police service bomb squad was on its way Monday night and fire crews were on scene.
