A suspicious package found at a Boston Pizza restaurant Monday night was not a bomb, the Winnipeg Police Service announced Tuesday.
The police service’s bomb unit investigated after receiving a report of a suspicious package in the 2200 block of McPhillips Street around 7:40 p.m. Monday and later determined there was no explosive device.
Police blocked off McPhillips Street between Kingsbury and Leila avenues during the investigation.
The major crimes unit is still investigating and anyone with information can contact investigators at 204-986-6219.
