Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec has faced 15 shots, while the Jets have fired 16 shots at Sharks goaltender Martin Jones.

About the Sharks

San Jose is 4-1 in its last five games, including Tuesday’s 3-0 blanking of the Minnesota Wild. They sport the NHL’s best road record at 28-10-3 (the 28 road wins is a franchise record) but are just 17-19-3 at SAP Center — the fifth-worst home record in the league. Included in those 19 home losses is a 4-1 loss to the Jets on Jan. 2.

Manitoba’s James Reimer kicked out all 29 shots in the win over the Wild, his third shutout since joining the Sharks.

San Jose is a dominating 14-4-2-2 all-time vs. Winnipeg/Atlanta. The Sharks are headed to the playoffs for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons.

The Sharks have three players with 70 points or more in Joe Thornton (18G, 61A); Joe Pavelski (36G, 40A) and Brent Burns (27G, 47A). Burns is second only to Ottawa’s Erik Karlsson (80 points) among scoring for NHL defencemen.

Logan Couture returned from injury Dec. 30 after missing 30 games and his presence has been notable. With him in the lineup the Sharks are 31-14-5, but 14-15-1 without him.
