Hey there, time traveller!

Young, unproven players will be front and centre when the Winnipeg Jets open their NHL pre-season schedule tonight at home against the Calgary Flames.
The Jets unveiled their lineup stocked with rookie forwards Jansen Harkins, Michael Spacek and Jack Roslovic and defenceman Nelson Nogier, while including AHL veteran blue-liners Josh Morrissey, Brenden Kichton and Julian Melchiori in the mix. Game time is 7 p.m. at the MTS Centre.
Second-year pro Eric Comrie will start in net for the Jets. Comrie, who spent the entire 2015-16 season with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, will be backed up by veteran Michael Hutchinson. Hutchinson had a scare during today’s pre-game skate when he was hobbled by a puck off his knee and was down on the ice for several minutes.

“I took a shot just below the knee,” he said. “My pad just shifted over and it hit me in a weird spot. My leg kinda seized up a little bit but it’s one of those things where it stings for a few minutes and it goes away. I’m completely fine and ready to go from here.”
As many as four Manitobans could be the lineup for tonight’s game. Oakbank’s Quinton Howden, a forward signed as a free agent in the off-season, is slated to play for the Jets, while Matt Bailey (Winnipeg), Colby Robak (Grandview) and Michael Ferland (Brandon) are on the Flames’ travel roster.
Winnipeg’s projected lineup also includes: defencemen Paul Postma, Brian Strait and forwards Andrew Copp, Brandon Tanev, Anthony Peluso, Shawn Matthias, Adam Lowry, Nic Petan, Joel Armia and JC Lipon.
