A 45-year-old man is in custody, accused of possessing and sharing pornography involving toddler-aged children, after he was arrested Wednesday at his St. James home.
Winnipeg police were alerted after images of child sexual abuse were allegedly uploaded to an online chat room in June by someone using an IP address in St. James.
Members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Technological Crime Unit executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home Wednesday and discovered child-porn images on a desktop computer
The man, whom police did not identify, has been charged with possession of child pornography as well as importing, distributing, selling or possessing any child pornography for the purpose of distribution or sale.
