Two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning will be the keynote speaker at the 46th annual Rady JCC Ken Kronson Sports Dinner, scheduled for June 18 in Winnipeg.
“Eli Manning is an elite NFL quarterback with a ton of pedigree, one who always comes through in the clutch,” said dinner chair Blair Worb in a release. “We’ve been fortunate to have a number of elite NFL quarterbacks speak at our dinner in the past, and Eli is no different.
“He is also very philanthropic — which resonates with the mission of this dinner — to support those in our community who need it most.”
Manning had wins in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI, both victories over the New England Patriots as a member of the New York Giants. He was also named the MVP in both championship games.
Manning’s brother Peyton was the keynote speaker at the 2009 Rady JCC dinner.
Eli Manning holds Giants’ franchise records for most passing yards, touchdown passes and completed passes in a career, and the NFL record for most fourth-quarter touchdown passes in a season. He is the seventh all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns in NFL history.
The event was formerly known as the Rady JCC Sports Dinner. It is now known as the Rady JCC Ken Kronson Sports Dinner, in recognition of the man who chaired the dinner for more than 40 years dating back to the early 1970s. Kronson died in 2017.
The dinner treats guests to a gala dinner, silent, live and rainbow auction. There’s also opportunity for a VIP experience, including photos with the guest of honour.
Funds raised from the dinner, through the Rady JCC’s community service programs, help to provided for financially disadvantaged children and families.
Individual tickets and corporate sponsorships are available at radyjcc.com or by calling 204-477-7513.
