The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed defensive back Kevin Fogg to a one-year deal, the team confirmed Monday.

Fogg was set to become a free agent Tuesday, but will now be with the team through the 2018 season, his third with the Bombers. In 15 games last year, Fogg recorded 29 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble. What Fogg brings is versatility, with the ability to play several positions on defence, including corner, halfback and strong-side linebacker.

The 27-year-old American also played a key role as a returner. In 2017, he recorded a team-high 67 punt returns for 775 yards and one touchdown.
