The Winnipeg Jets announced Tuesday that they have agreed to terms with forward Skyler McKenzie on a three-year, entry-level contract with an average annual salary of US$741,700.

A seventh-round draft pick in 2017, the 20-year old McKenzie spent last season playing for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL before suiting up for the Manitoba Moose for three playoff games.

In 72 games with the Winterhawks last season, McKenzie scored a team high 47 goals and added 40 assists. In 282 games over five seasons in Portland, McKenzie registered 212 points (101G, 111A). McKenzie scored the game-winning goal for the Moose in Game 3 of their opening-round playoff series with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
