Missing woman and wanted man likely in Winnipeg: RCMP

Manitoba RCMP are still searching for a missing woman and a wanted man.

Breanna Lee Hudson, 28, and Shaquille MacFarlane, 29, are likely still together and in the Winnipeg area, Mounties said Monday afternoon.

RCMP have received two reports of sightings of the pair outside of Winnipeg but neither have been corroborated.

RCMP say the two have likely ditched the black pick-up truck they had been driving, but investigators don’t know if they have access to another vehicle.

MacFarlane, 29, has warrants for his arrest for two counts of uttering threats and one count of assault, extortion and obstruction of justice. He is also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly breaching bail conditions, police said.

RCMP deemed Hudson a missing person on Thursday. Her mother, Crystal Loden, told the Free Press she fears for her daughter’s life. Hudson and MacFarlane are married, Loden said.

“It’s horrifying. It’s a mother’s worst nightmare. Her life has been threatened and I am afraid for her, and everybody else should be too,” Loden, 44, said on Saturday.

RCMP said previously MacFarlane picked Hudson up from Ile des Chênes in the early hours of Thursday morning. The community is about 12 kilometres south of Winnipeg.

Hudson is 5’4” and has brown hair and blue eyes. She is not facing any charges, an RCMP spokesman said Saturday.

MacFarlane is 5’10” and 160 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

RCMP said the priority is to confirm Hudson’s wellbeing and anyone with information to call either St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP at 204-433-7433 or the nearest police service.
