On Friday, Premier Heather Stefanson will visit Flin Flon and The Pas, the PC party said in a news release.

“It’s great to be back in the North,” Stefanson said in the PC release Thursday. “There is so much potential in this beautiful province — and so many ways we can work together with First Nations.”

It quoted the party’s candidate in Keewatinook, Michael Birch, who is challenging NDP incumbent Ian Bushie.

“Our PC team is fighting to make life better for northerners. We are the only party focused on northern development,” Birch said in the release.

Stefanson kicked off her re-election campaign Tuesday morning at a grocery story in Winnipeg, soon after the writ was dropped. She took part in a rally at Kirkbridge Park in the capital city Wednesday evening.
