Police have arrested one of two wanted men accused in the fatal shooting of a man in a Fort Rouge apartment last month.
Damion Wayne Skrumeda, 46, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in his suite in the basement of 635 Mulvey Ave. on the night on Sept. 13. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Winnipeg Police Service released the names and photo of two men wanted on second-degree murder warrants on Sept. 19.

Randy Blake Flett, 25, of Winnipeg was arrested at about midnight Monday after a member of the WPS traffic division spotted a stolen vehicle while patrolling in the area of Princess Street and Pacific Avenue.
Police said that when the vehicle pulled over, the driver got out and began to run. The officer arrested a suspect and later identified him as Flett.
Flett was also wanted on pending charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm without a licence and possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000. Both offences were allegedly committed July 28.
Police are still searching for Jerrin MacIntyre, 28, of Winnipeg. He’s described as 5-9 in height and about 135 pounds. The WPS said MacIntyre is “considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.”
Police are asking anyone with information on MacIntyre’s location to call homicide unit detectives at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS), or 911.
