Arrest warrants issued for at-large slaying suspects

MacIntyre has no past convictions in Manitoba, court records show. Flett also has no past convictions, but is wanted on pending charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm without a license and possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000, both allegedly committed on July 28.
Police have asked anyone with information on the shooting or the suspects to call detectives at 204-986-6508, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS), or 911.

New COVID vaccines expected by mid-October
3:34 PM
his fall’s vaccine rollout to the general public in Manitoba is expected to start in early to mid-October, the provincial government announced Tuesday.
The vaccines will first be rolled out to personal-care home residents, hospital patients, and Indigenous residents before they become available to the general public.
Manitoba is following national recommendations that suggest boosters for previously immunized individuals if it’s been at least six months since their last dose or last COVID infection. The province is also recommending people get their flu shots, and get vaccinated if they haven’t already done so.
“Updated vaccines will be available this fall and have been formulated to provide better protection against XBB.1.5, which is an offshoot of the omicron variant. To date, Health Canada has approved an updated Moderna vaccine for those six months of age and older and is reviewing updated Pfizer and Novavax vaccines,” the provincial government stated in a news release Tuesday.
When it’s available, updated information about vaccine locations is expected to be posted here.
