A third man is wanted for first-degree murder in connection with a homicide in Winnipeg in September.
Zeyad Vifan Shammo, 22, of Ontario was found dead in a home on the 100 block of Bristol Avenue early on Sept. 13. Police were sent to the 300 block of Bridge Lake Drive at about 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 10 about a report of a missing man who had been abducted the previous evening. They issued a news release about the missing man on Sept. 11.
Two men were arrested that month. The Winnipeg Police Service said Friday that a warrant of arrest has been issued for a third man, 24-year-old Chad Jason Dandan, for murder, kidnapping and extortion.

Chad Jason Dandan is wanted for first-degree murder in connection with the killing of Zeyad Vifan Shammo in September. He is believed to be in northern Manitoba.He is believed to be in northern Manitoba, the WPS said. He’s described as Asian, about 5-6 in height, approximately 140 pounds, with a medium build.
“Dandan may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached if encountered,” the WPS said.
Police asked anyone with information regarding Dandan’s whereabouts to call 911, or to contact the WPS major crimes unit at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online.
Sonny Balemba, 26, and Robert James Chaykowski, 26, were arrested in September and charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and extortion. Chaykowski was also charged with four counts of failing to comply with a release order. Both men were detained in custody.
In late September, police asked for the public’s help in finding a car in connection with the case. It was soon found.
