City police have charged two men with sex offences, after launching separate investigations into reports of online luring and sexual assault involving teenage victims.

In one case, a suspect who using the username “MANITOBAW” contacted a teenager in October 2025. The online contact led to several in-person meetings, during which the teen was sexually assaulted, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Friday.

Investigators were notified about the incidents and identified a suspect. On Feb. 1, they arrested Christ Ismael Andjide, 24, on the 100 block of Saddler Avenue. He is charged with two counts each of sexual assault, sexual interference and obtaining sexual services from a person under 18 years of age.

Winnipeg police charged two men with sex offences, after launching separate investigations into reports of online luring and sexual assault involving teenage victims.

Andjide is also charged with luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication, the release said.

In a separate investigation that began in early January, officers learned about possible inappropriate online contact between two teens and a 41-year-old man.

Investigators learned the suspect communicated with the victims over social media for several weeks, under the username “Moon Beam.” The teens went to the man’s home on Sept. 8, 2025, where he allegedly provided them with drugs and alcohol before sexually assaulting them, police said in another news release.

On Sept. 25, the suspect sent one of the teens sexually explicit images and video on social media, WPS said.

Investigators were notified and identified the suspect, who was arrested Jan. 30 on the 100 block of Paramount Road in Winnipeg.

Daniel David Main of St. Francois Xavier has been charged with two counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference. He is also facing charges related to the production or publication of child pornography, and the distribution of sexually explicit material to a person younger than 16 years old.
