POLICE are investigating a report someone killed a number of rabbits and posed them alongside a busy road in Winnipeg.
Jason Hawkins said he spotted the bloody and mutilated carcasses and immediately called police.
Const. Jason Michalyshen called it a unique and bizarre scenario.
Whether it’s deemed a crime depends on how the animals were killed and what motivated someone to stage their bodies.
Hawkins hopes the officers are successful in finding the perpetrators.
He said it’s one thing to kill an animal for food, but another to do it as a spectacle.
